Why do cats purr?

Cats make purring sounds when they're happy or they want to show that they like you. It's like their happy language that will tell you sometime. Cats purr when they're happy and comfortable so I think my cat probably love me a lot because she always makes this sound when she’s near me.

Why do cats purr? I think maybe it's to find a mate or something?. Cats are animals that we can't communicate with in words, so we may interpret them in many different ways. It might be hungry if it makes noises during mealtimes. It might be happy if it makes noises when we play with it. In the end, it was still difficult for us to conclude in which cases the sound was being made.

I think when cat purr is showing that cat are happy at that time because I have my pets, and I can see them purr every time when they are happy.

I once read on a Facebook post from a certain page that said if a cat purrs, it means the cat is happy. The sound of purring is the sound that a cat makes when it feels content. And surely, my cat purrs all the time because it enjoys being with me.
